 TLI PROGRAM
  What is Toastmasters Leadership Institute?

Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) is a recommended option or alternative which Districts may choose to provide Club Officer Training. The TLI format differs slightly from more traditional approaches to Club Officer Training as it separates training into concurrent sessions or “courses”.

A TLI’s purpose is to provide:

  • Proper training to Club Officers. This is the primary purpose of a TLI and no other consideration may interfere with this objective.
  • Training to Club Officers based upon the Club Officer Training Program and the Club Officer Manuals published by Toastmasters International.
  • Supplemental training to District Officers.
  • Supplemental training and educational opportunities to other Toastmasters consistent with the Missions of Toastmasters International and the District.

  • The format chosen by District 51 is Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI).  These programs must form the core content of club officer training.
